What to expect
Ride alongside President Ángel Cabrera through campus as we recognize his contributions to Georgia Tech and celebrate the Institute’s continued momentum. Cheer stations along the route will give members of the Tech community an opportunity to encourage riders and take part in the celebration.
- Participants can join both the party and the bike ride.
- To join the ride, you must provide your own bicycle.
- Plan to arrive by 4:15 p.m. to join the ride that kicks off promptly at 4:30 p.m.
- Cheer stations will also be located throughout campus along the bike route.
- Plan to arrive at your cheer station no later than 4:15 p.m.
- RSVP is requested, not required.
- This is a rain or shine event.
How to get there
Instructional Center Lawn is located behind Jimmy Johns. The bike ride will start in the stinger turnaround across from the Campus Recreation Center (CRC). Cheer station locations are subject to change.

Event FAQ
Do I need to bring a bike to join in the ride?
Yes, riders will have to provide their own bike and helmet to participate in the ride. We will not have any rentals available.
Ample bike parking will be provided next to IC Lawn.
How long is the route?
The bike ride is 1 mile long. This will be a causal group ride.
What happens if it rains?
This is a rain or shine event. If severe weather is anticipated, we will email all participants with any updated plans and post on this webpage.
Can I participate without riding?
Yes! You may either join the central event at IC Lawn or cheer on riders at one of our many cheer stations located along the route.

There are multiple ways to participate! RSVP to attend either the main party, a cheer station, or the bike ride.
