4-6:30 p.m.
Mary R. and John Brock III Football Facility

What to expect

We will welcome new and current graduate students to campus at this in-person event, as we share Georgia Tech's traditions, academic standards, and provide students with spirit items.

  • This is a general admission event. All new and current graduate students are welcome to attend.
  • Students are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
  • Remember to bring your Buzz card.
  • Dress code for this event is casual.

After the program, attendees are encouraged to attend the Graduate Fall Picnic taking place in the same venue.

How to get there

All students will enter from the Fowler Street entrance, located at 6th and Fowler street (across from Kappa Sig house). Students will scan their buzzcard for entry. No RSVP or tickets are required to attend.

Event FAQ

Do I have to have my buzzcard to attend?

We prefer for students to have their Buzzcard to scan in for attendance records, but it is not required.

Can I bring an off-campus guest?

Yes, students may bring a friend or family member to join them.

Do I have to stay the entire time?

Students may come and go as they please. Most students attend for 45 minutes to 1 hour. We recommend arriving early to hear from President Cabrera and receive free swag.

What if it rains?

The venue is covered, allowing the celebration to take place rain or shine!
