Awarded to a research team, preferably composed of both faculty and staff, that creates a new thought leadership platform to significantly expanding Georgia Tech’s research portfolio.
The nomination should highlight how the team has excelled in one or more of the following areas: Spearheading disciplinary or societal research impact , Pioneering new research areas, Addressing major challenges, Developing interdisciplinary initiatives. Program milestones, such as the receipt of sponsored funding, establishment of an industry partnership, creation of a new program or proportionally significant expansion of a research endeavor should fall between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2020.
